I'm expecting to get my prescription two weeks from today, and I was planing on going to the pharmacy straight from the doctor, and then take my first dose right away. I was wondering though, do pharmacies often stock hormones? What about a pharmacy inside a supermarket? Could I call them earlier and say "I'll be requiring this medicine in x days" so that they order it sooner?

As a general rule they do stock hormones.  There are enough people out there taking some kind of HRT.

If it's not like a brand new prescription (like FDA have just approved it), you most probably will be fine.

Very common stuff for menopausal women and women with hair loss. I get my hormones and testosterone blocker at Walgreens, (90-day supply on their family plan) for under a buck a day TOTAL.

I've never had an issue with a pharmacy (not) having spiro or estradiol. (walgreens or target).
