Welcome back Steph. I'm glad everything went well and that you are doing good. I cannot wait to hear more.

Thanks so much everyone for the kind words.  You know I wonder how folks can say that they are alone out there when we have sites such as Susan's.  I missed you all as well, although I was happily distracted over the last two weeks.

So my life truly starts.  I remember there is a thread out there asking the question when is transition complete (or something like that), and in my present state of mind, I would have to say possibly never!.  For now I get to live my life the way it was meant to be lived, and that in itself is a whole new adventure.

I mentioned this in my blog that my life right now is happily in turmoil given the daily routine that I must follow while I heal, heal on the outside as well as the inside.  Thank you again everyone for your thoughts and well wishes, they mean so much.

So step are you like dangling at the end of a vicodin bottle or the pain is not that bad?
Curious! evryone reports different issues with the pain and after surgery results....

Nah it's not that bad now :)  I have a pretty high tolerance for pain myself but I have to admit that I was surprised at the intensity of it.  The biggest discomfort for me was the stent and the amount of pressure it caused, and as each day went by it seemed to get worse.  Of course the stent is a foreign object and the body is doing it's darndest to get rid of it.

I guess we now know what you asked from Santa for Christmas.  I'm glad he/she was kind enough to bring it to you early.

The best thing about Montreal, I thought, was the beautiful house on the lake where we could recover with a house full of TS patients all sharing our stories.  I had never met F2M's in person and it made the experience all the more pleasurable.

I still remember waking up in the hospital and my roomate saying to me happily, "We did it!"

What a great way to start 2007, and the rest of your new life.  Heartfelt congradulations, Steph!

Hugs and love, Teri Anne
