Hey. So I've been reading through some of your guys' experience with T and I was wondering: what are all the side effects? I've heard many of you say that you have experienced nausea. Is it really bad? I haven't thrown up since I was 7 years old so I hope I never do again. I've also heard some of you rate your muscle growth pain a 6 on a scale of 10. Will you always get these or is it just after the first couple of months on T?

The muscle growth can be painful but you don't tend to mind it because you know it's producing real changes. It's not like the pain from an injury where you just want it to end, it can almost be enjoyable. If you're into that kind of thing  :)

I never got nauseous. And I had muscle growth as well as aching in my bones as the grew. Its not bad, its like the growing pains you have when you are growing when you are younger. Take an advil, no big deal. And the muscle pain is the same kind of pain that you have the day or two after you work out, again no big deal.
Call me a cheat but I make my own fate.

I had a lot of muscle growth within the first 3 months on T, I actually gained almost 20 lbs in muscle and I didn't have any muscle growth pains. I also didn't experience any nausea. So you might not have to worry about it, and if you do I'm sure it will be worth it.

I've had zero nausea. I have had a LOT of muscle growth (went from men's size M to size L shirts to fit my shoulders/chest/biceps) and I did get growing pains from that, although it was more of a persistent soreness/aching rather than sharp pains. I'm 3 months on T now and the growing pains are tapering off. I should note that prior to starting HRT I was doing a lot of fitness training, including weight lifting. I was not doing any weight lifting after starting T (surgery restrictions).

I never had nausea, and only a couple instances of "growing pains".  I used to have them a lot when I was a kid, but I've spoken to others who didn't know what the heck I was talking about, so that may be an indicator of whether or not you are likely to have them on T.  For me, the worst side effects have been acne and much more frequent muscle cramps.  Just had a nasty one in my thigh, a few minutes ago, as a matter of fact. Time to stock up on bananas again.

My sister ( RN) says calcium supplements. so far she has been right about the muscle cramping stopping.
