i'm getting a haircut tomorrow and really haven't found a picture i could bring in :(
http://haircutsformen.org/buzz/haircuts/buzz17.jpg
this is sort of the target length....i have blond hair and a boyish face...i pass as 17-20 usually, and i'm looking for a haircut that would fit that age group, not look too boring but not "freaky" at the same time....something layered i guess? also not sure if i want it to be shorter in the back or longer in the back...any help would be really appreciated!

That's kinda Bieber-y. I think if it's done right, it'll look male, but be careful, I've asked for a male cut before and the dumb hairdresser gave me a butch haircut :C Now I just cut my own hair with a buzzer, but you want long hair so..

I think the only way we can say whether it'll be good for you is if we saw what your face shape was. Personally I like the cut, and it's really popular with guys that age right now.

EDIT: I just remembered! I read it's really really bad for people with round faces. And there is a site dedicated to lesbians with Bieber hair cuts
http://lesbianswholooklikejustinbieber.tumblr.com/page/2
So rethinking this, I think maybe it would be a BAD idea. The guy in your example picture is a pretty masculine dude, I don't think it would flatter an FTM that isn't on T yet, or isn't naturally masculine.

Just realised my hair is like that, but because I've been wearing winter toques and hats, I'm getting wings aha

The haircut could go either way depending on your face, depending on how I'm presenting myself or what I'm wearing, the hair can go from looking "Pixie-ish" to guyish - So if you've got the face for it (because the cut is a bit long in terms of a lot of guy cuts) go for it, and just, go out with that confidence of "I am a guy, and this is my awesome guy haircut" :P

And my boss is obsessed with that site...oddly obsessed with it.

I had a Biebz cut for a while.. and I still looked masc... but not nearly as masculine as shorter hair..

I don't see anything wrong with the cut you posted.  Isn't Justin Bieber's hair shorter in the back than that?
You could probably style that same haircut to look something like this:

if you want it look less "Bieber-y" for an occasion.

This is also nice, but a bit shorter:

I am actually having a lot of fun now at the "Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Bieber" blog.  I hope you go for the haircut even though lesbians do it too, lol.  It's similar to the kind of hair I'd like to have :)

This might be going a bit off topic but there are a bunch of things of this sort that I shy away from because I think they'd be seen as butch and not actually male.  I really try not to let those things stop me since I think I shouldn't care how random people see me, but being thought of as butch cuts deep, even more so than being thought of as a typical girl.

i ended up choosing a picture with sligthly longer hair but the stylist messed it up so now i actually DO look like justin bieber :D
it's okay though,  lesbians in my part of the world usually have shorter hair than that...whereas teenage boys have bieber hair...so yeah, it made me look younger but i don't mind that.
i agree with everyone who said the haircut could go either way...before i had blow-dryed my hair into place it looked a bit like an old ladies hairstyle :eusa_shifty:

It really is all about styling! Glad you're okay with it even if it didn't turn out how you wanted
