I have a question here. Since I won't be able to afford SRS for probably a good 3-5 years, I was thinking about getting an orchiectomy by the end of next year. Now I've heard some mixed views on this. The benefit that I see is that your body is no longer producing (or attempting to produce) anywhere near the amount of testosterone it used to. Therefore, you can cut your hormone consumption in half or more saving money which you can then put away toward your SRS. The risks I've heard are that the scarring could impact SRS, that less tissue might be available for SRS, or that it could cause shrinkage over time making SRS more difficult. Several people here have had orchiectomies before. What do you all think?

I had mine 30 yrs ago and am having my GCS IN 2 MONTHS AND SHE HAS NO PROB WITH ME HAVING HAD IT DONE :......;'))))))))) I' m  so excited

My Orchie surgeon also does SRS, so he makes sure there are no scars.  he better not because he is also doing my SRS.

Can anyone give me some examples of the surgeons and the costs involved? Thanks a bunch.
