At a recent rally in the US there was a guy holding a sign saying "God hates Figs. Mark 11: 12-14" A lot of people took it as a misspelling of god hates ->-bleeped-<-s. But if you do look up the verse cited, it has nothing to do with homosexuality, it has to do with figs.


This is the King James version (other English language versions are similar):

"¹²And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
¹³And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
¹⁴And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it."

"God hates signs."

God also hates shrimp, google it and you'll find a hilarious website advocating the destruction of all abominations of the sea which are not true fish. 

Leviticus 11:12 "Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you."

That just means you can't eat them, which of course is more shrimp cocktail and lobster for me.

It does rather beg the question. What on earth did shrimp do to make God so angry?

If God created everything, then they are God's creation, just like us and yet he loves us (If we do as we're told) despite all of the sinning and murdering his son and all. Yet poor old shrimp are an abomination, no forgiveness for Mr Shrimp.

Is there something that we are not being told?

Are shrimp secretly evil?
