Hi All,

I have been on HRT since March (almost 9 months) and I have noticed only a very small increase in my breast size. Since I have been on hormones for this long with hardly any results, would you say that my chances of needing a breast augmentation are quite high?

What were your experiences?

What do you consider "only a very small increase"?
In my own experience, having a little over a years worth of HRT,
my breasts have developed to slightly less than an A-cup.
I find it a little less then exciting myself but we both have to remember
that born women's breasts do not fully develop overnight either.
It takes a matter of years. It sucks, I know, but we both will have to be patient.

Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

Close to 11 months (around 8 on a 'full' dosage), and I only have a 38A, fairly widely spaced, but not too bad. Oh well, more growth will follow, since puberty goes on for years. Age definitely plays a factor here; I'm young, and might have more success now, than let's say, at an arbitrarily chosen age like...45. If I end with a large B, I'd probably be okay, though ideally, I think I'd like a C. Time will tell, and if I ever choose implants, it will be in at least 5 years.

During the year that I was on hormones, I noticed a similar thing, so I asked my endo.  He told me that the effects are not linear, but exponential, slow at the start and then in a short period of time growing in bursts.  From what he says, you have to be patient a bit more.

I do want to go back on hormones, so hopefully I will not suffer for being off of it.

Hormones affects everyone differently. Also, like the others have said, these things take time. I started noticing my breasts grow fairly quickly, it was one of the hormones first effects on me. Of course, I was 17 which is pretty young to start HRT, but I gather you are fairly young as well. I am now on at a B cup, overall happy with it, but part me wishes that I was a C. I sorta hope that once I get the surgery, mainly those evil T producing things off my body, that my breasts will enlarge a bit. I have heard it can happen in some transwomen, but who knows?

Good luck! I will send happy-breast-growing-thoughts your way ;D

my way too, though I am not in my twenties or teens anymore. :-)

Yes, I shall send them your way as well ;D. HAPPY-BREAST-GROWTH-THOUGHTS FOR ALL MY TRANS SISTERS!!!!

It is difficult we all want bigger boobs but you must be patient. There is a lot of evidence to show that there is more growth post-op, so augmentation should be considered later rather than sooner.

sarala's right.
Take a rubber balloon. With the first breath it jumps up and fills out. With each successive breath, it gets larger, but not the dramatic jump seen with the first.
It takes a while to build up the fatty tissue.

There are a lot of small breasted women. I am larger than my Ex AND her mother combined.
Hehehe. That alone pissed them off  :)

Speak as one of the...  More mature women here at Susan's.  ;)
I have been on HRT for over 11 months and have 36B breast.
In the first 4 months I saw the most dramatic breast growth but they have continued to fill out.
For me it's the nipples that seem to be just now starting to expand.
Go girls go.
From all I have read you just need to give them time to grow out.

I would wait at least a couple of years before thinking about breast augmentation.

Since breasts are mostly fatty tissue, lean body mass or restrictive dieting are going to keep your breasts small. You may have to but on a few pounds to get the results that you seek. Good luck!

I'll lend you some of my growth spurt, I practically saw mine expand yesterday.

Diet plays a key role in breas development as well, If you're seriously controling your calorie intake your body will want to get the energy from somewhere.

This is why I am blaming the rediculous breakfast bap i had yesterday morning for the noticable difference in the size of my boobs when I got up and when i went to bed.

Helena,
Tell me, tell me what a
Quoterediculous breakfast bap
is please.

A bap is a large, floured bread roll...it's a very english word and also a slang term for boobs.

A ridiculous breakfast is a bap filled with an obscene amount of seared dead pig and various other artery clogging nastiness. Hence why i only have one once in a blue moon.

Helena,
Thanks, for the info.
It sounds good and I will have to try one after taking measurements.

LOL... Here in the States a bap is when you slap someone's head

But yeah, HRT affects everyone differently... It's luck of the draw really... Remember, it takes about three to five years for GG gals to develop and then they go through more changes as they age

I'm rather happy with my development thus far and kinda hope they don't get much larger...
But I'm from the more than a handful is a waste school of thought... And I have fairly good sized hands

Besides, I can't stand the cows that try to force their opinion on others because they have the biggest utters

Maybe give HRT a bit more time

After nearly 14 months of HRT I am only up to a small B cup but in the last few days I have noticed a more feminine shape to my boobs.    As breast development in genetic girls takes 3 or more years, I am not panicking yet as I do still get the impression growth is happening.   It comes in fits and starts although I do not get the pain experienced by others.    I am more worried about a lack of sensitivity.   My breasts do not appear to be the erogenous zone they should be :'(

I'm not even an A cup 10 months in although recently It seems like the glandular material inside them is changing abit as of late sprawling about inside there. I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that I'm gonna be the flat chested girl in the family of DD's

*sigh* I get alittle angsty... But only alittle ;)

Wow! They (baps) do look good Helena. I think I already gain some weight just looking at them.
:)

My breast have been tender most of the 11 months and very painful off and on.
But they also seem to grow in spurts.
The areolas have darkened and enlarged. My problem are the nipples they just aren't growing.
