I get these random beard hairs and it looks really weird if I let them grow out.  Also, with the thicker ones, around the base, my skin sometimes gets inflamed, red and itchy.  This happens even if they're not ingrown.  If I shave them, I still have the inflammation.  If I pluck them, the inflammation goes away until the next time they start growing, so I've been doing that.    So I was wondering how others deal with this issue and what the best way to deal with it might be.

Ha yeah my mom calls them my "chinny chin chin hairs" I get these weird ridiculously long chin hairs that are really dark. I get them on my chest and back too. I dunno why since I'm pre-t but I shave 'em

I pluck them with tweezers as soon as I see them - mine get a bit inflamed too.
Also, rather than being on my face, the're on my neck, and I don't think neckbeard would be a flattering look for me  ::)

When I started having more hair coming in on my chin I had that same issues with inflammation. I alternated between shaving and letting the hair grow out for a while. It's hard to resist the urge to pull the offending hairs out when they irritate the skin but it does actually get better. Now I don't get any inflammation at all. I can let it grow out or shave it and it seems to be fine.

Ive never had a chin hair, ive gotten hair almost everywhere else, but never a chin hair. I wonder if that means itll be harder for me to get facial hair on T? I already have a thick happy trail n stuff, but my face is just smooth.

I'm afraid I'll look like Grizzly Adams on T.  A very effeminate Grizzly Adams.  Ahem.

Dude, I've got this one hair on my chest that came in a few months ago, it's an actual real chest hair, thick, dark, and long, just below my collar bone.  And it grows straight up.  (Well, the hair in that area does, but it's not noticeable with the rest).  It's really weird looking.

i got a couple... and if i feel them i'll try and pull them  out cuz i can't stand them... all there by themselves. If I'm going to have facial hair - I want facial hair! not just a measly couple hairs. So they get shaved off as soon as I get home. Which recently is every other day. They go through phases of growing and not growing. Sometimes they wont grow for weeks - then all off a sudden they are growing a couple mm every day.

I'm pretty darned hairy to the point that I could probably grow a beard.  Needless to say, plucking would take way too much time, and I don't like/want facial hair.  I just shave in the morning.
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

Occasionally I pluck them but there's enough of them that that often takes forever and there's no way i'm plucking the ones i the sides of my mouth because those hurt when plucked! So usually just shave them.

I'd never pluck if you held a gun to my head. I fought too hard for my precious hairs...now imma live with 'em. I have some ingrown hairs but I let them take their time to sort themselves out. I have alot of acne from it, but I'm used to that.

The trick with ingrown hairs is to get them to break the surface but do not pull them out. Plucking hairs leads to more ingrown hairs. If you partially pluck just to get them to break the surface they will continue to grow properly.
