Eve of chaos

Hello! so I am new here but it seems like a great community.

so Ive been in therapy for a week now and my therapist wanted me to go all out and make myself look as female as possible and decide if im happy with myself. so i went ahead and shaved everything, bought a wig and my supportive girlfriend did my makeup and took the pictures.

overall i dont know what to think, i feel like i just look like a drag queen and it bums me out, but i wanted to post them here to get some honest opinions and advice on what things stick out the most as male so i can consider my options with those first.

any feedback is appreciated^.^

Hi Ekuryua, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 4400 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

I would thin the eyebrows.  Shape them some.  As far as the thinking you look like a drag queen, that mostly comes from the outside world saying so.  But look to your heart and see what it says.  It will feel a little strange the first time.  After all we are taught that "boys don't do that".  But we are not boys.

Hugs and Love,
Janet

I know FTM guys don't ordinarily comment on MTF gals posts, but I just had to say that you are so pretty. Like, I don't even know how someone could say you look like a drag queen or anything of that sort. You are so beautiful and just from the pictures alone, you seem to exude a very feminine mood.

QuoteI know FTM guys don't ordinarily comment on MTF gals posts,

Since when ? We (at least I) love your posts ! ><'

Plus, Ekuryua, it really is not that bad. It's actually pretty good, especially for pre-HRT stuff !

and its only a $10 wig! I'm starting to feel really good about this.

Yes, I understand your feeling. It's like without an appropriate body, even though we are "at last dressing like we should", it feels like crossdressing at first. That's why I have yet to actually go out in full girl-mode. I feel I will at least need a start of transition, like the first psychological effects of HRT, for this.

ANYWAY. You have greater courage than I, and I believe you will do well !

i think the voice is whats keeping me from trying to pass in public, ive dressed silly to most people for years and im used to the stares, i had a pretty big mohawk for a few years as well, for the most part the things i'm into are'nt gender specific at all so it was harder to sort out my dysphoria.

i wouldnt really say i have too much courage, just the philosophy that jumping into the freezing pool and getting it over with is better than inching your way in :p

My post has NO POINT, but...

I have that same shirt, high five.

*high five* so you looked at the pics, tell me what you think? please?

As already noted you are pretty. You are also young, and that is always a good starting point.

You will make it without any problem.

Good luck

I think you look great.   You shouldn't have anything to fear.

I want to be up front and honest, though.  The only thing that came to my attention was that your wig sort of looked like a wig to me.  My eyes were immediately drawn to it.  And then they went to your eyebrows.  I think  with the right wig or your natural hair, it would go a long way.

I might be over critical though, for some reason, wigs have never looked good to me.

Well, this guy wants to throw his two cents in ....

I think you look great...I would expect your going to transition well.

I say with complete honest, you look really nice.

Your girlfriend is clearly good with makeup. There isn't a hint of drag queen there.

One thig I've learnt here in Susans' is, take it easy. The journey is a long one, but no-one has regretted taking it. Let's face it, we wouldn't be doing this if we didn't need to.

Welcome to Susans'. You're gonna love it. Hope your girl friend will join, possibly as a significant other.

You look great! Like was said before, I'd focus on the eyebrows and play with some different hairstyles. Surprisingly, you may find that an even shorter hair style makes you look even more feminine!

thank you so much everyone for all the kind words, when i look at these pictures i cant see my face as feminine. it could be because I'm used to my own face so its hard to adjust. or a number of other things i guess.

the main thing is i cant pinpoint my masculine features, and i know its early but i want a rough idea of a plan of everything i should save up for.

my guesses is the nose, and possibly the brow. i know i need to trim my eyebrows, im building up the courage to go get that done>.<
