Hi, Valerie,

We are very glad that you are here.  I believe many here will agree with me that this is the best transcommunity on the entire Internet (Yes, I'm biased!).

Actually, we feel like we know you somewhat already from the posts of StacyBeaumont and Paula_Itoi on other parts of this forum.  You sound like a really cool person.  Settle in, relax and just be YOU.

You're among family here, so post away!
Believe.  Persist.  Arrive.    :D

Thank  you all for the warm welcome! :) A little bit about me, I am 32 years old. I have been on HRT for going on 7 months (Nov 10th,) and living Full-Time going on 4 months.  Got a daughter named Hannah, and she is 9 years old. She's taking my transition well. My Ex-Wife is taking my transition a little too well and she is a bit too supportive sometimes. Hehe.

It's been a pretty big year for me, and looking forward to posting more on here :D

Valerie, let me also offer my welcome to Susan's.  Would your friends Stacy or Paula let you down?  You have a home here.

How can I put this delicately - my late wife took the news about my crossdressing very well and was always very supportive.  There were evenings when I may not have been "in the mood" but she would all plead for me to let Susan out.  How could I resist?

Children adapt well, I think - especially if they are mature enough to understand that we love them whatever clothes we happen to be wearing.  Our daughter was about 8 when she first met Susan and never seemed to have a problem with it; she was the darling of all when we invaded an occasional Tri-Ess meeting but the drive to the nearest chapter meant they had to be planned overnight excursions and a real (pardon the pun) drag.

In this type of forum, you usually only know what a person has to say about theirself and only hear their point of view. As someone who has spent a lot of time with Valerie in the last several weeks, I can tell you that she is a kind, intelligent and caring lady. She spotted me in a club full of DragQueens and gave me a knowing smile and said "hi". She knew I was not comfortable in the surroundings yet so she grabbed me by the hand and introduced me to people and made me really feel welcomed and included.

She and I have sat and talked for hours on end and she has been very sympathertic and caring about what I have been going through the last few days as my incredible need to be myself has demanded attention. She is beautiful inside and out and I am happy and PROUD to call her my friend. Love you girl!

I think my response really belongs to a different forum here but...

I don't think anyone can be "too supportive"; either they are (Mrs. Erocse) or they are not (countless tales).

To phrase this as delicately as I can, Chelle was bi-curious or a bit more when we met and started dating but I was not let in on that secret until we had been together for a while.  When I first came out to her, she was perplexed but after she first met Maureen, the name I was using at the time, she expressed little overt encouragement but never seemed to have a "problem" with my crossdressing either.  I had unknowingly triggered her hidden feelings and she was unsure how to deal with them – or talk to me about them.

Sometime after our first few times together, she asked if I would consider adopting the name Susan after a common friend of ours; Chelle and Susan had been friends since 8th grade, I was to learn much later that they were also each others' first lovers.  Though that part of their relationship did not last when Chelle discovered boys, their friendship weathered the storm.

Fast forward.  She has met me, a guy who also wears skirt and a high heel or two.  To her, I was (or almost could be) the best of both worlds - a guy when she needed him and a lady when she needed her.  It was she who took me shopping for my first pair of breast forms (foam) and a proper bra to go with them; they were pure delight to me but she found their feeling to be lacking.  It wasn't long before we had saved enough for my first pair of silicone forms for both of us to enjoy.

Actually my ex is in the medical field in Galveston and has worked with Transgender people often. So in my begining of my transition her "too supportive," came in the instance of trying to overly inform me about everything she knew about what she knew with being Trans. Followed by asking me over and over again about what my Transition plan was, and when such and such surgery would be, and if I was thinking about my bottom surgery yet.  We've been divorced was rather messy way back when, and way before I ever came out to her as a Trans Female. We had gotten to become friends before I came out to her, and now we are even closer. She has gotten better about being overly supportive.

Hi Valerie

Now I understand you, my question is completely answered with your explanation about too supportive.
you have to do things according to your own schedule and not to be pushed up by something or someone.
thanks for your explanation.

a big hug sister
