I'm getting kittens tonight and I'm looking for some names. Any suggestions?

I give Kitties wierd unique names.

Cats I have had:
Fiz-bit, Doozle, Meep, Mambles, Snirt, Mozenwrath (ok not unique but he is such a villian he needed a vilians name) and Foozer.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

I always watch them for a while and let their personalities name them.  I have three.  My male looked like an old cat i had, so he got name the same name.  His sister is black and white like a motorcycle, so she is Harley Davidson.

My newest was the first to climb out of the box they were born in, so her name is Houdini.

Cats have a way of picking their own names.  I think you may want to wait and ask them.

My cats allow me to use human pronounceable names for them.  I feel lucky because of that.

I agree with Janet - let them name themselves.

Our two girls became Kiera and Futon.

Kiera because she was swashbuckling and fearless like Kiera Knightly in Pirates of the Caribbean

And Futon because for the first week she was here all she did was sleep on or under the Futon in our front room.

Just watch them for a while and they will tell you their names in a way that only cats can do!

Oh yeah and I had a cat called Meazer. She was awesome.

The cats in my family have been named;
Loppa (paws)
Dúlla (cutey)
Mús (mouse)
Gríma (mask)
Tequila
Kisi (cat)
Amon
Pandora
Herakles
Megara
and
Skelfing (terror)

Get to know kitten first, then the name that sticks is the right one.

I find cats accumulate names over their lifetime(s) - the last cat I had ended up being called:

Various Slug Hovercraft Teabag Skeleton Key Laughing Spam Fritter Sklibbage-Glibbage Gaberlunzie Gibbon Cat Bach

...but generally went by the name Sklib-Glib for everyday purposes. But they were all relevant (especially Bach, since she was a Magnificat).

Oh, and good luck getting the genders right - kittens laugh when we guess their sex. (See? I can hear them doing it right now...)

We have a new kitten...unfortunately I didn't get to name him as I didn't rescue him. This is why he is called Whippy. Personally i Think of him as Pickle, because a) we rescued him from one and b) he's always getting into them.
