Hey all,
Lately I've been discussing the idea of conducting a number of fundraisers through the LGBTQ Youth center that I volunteer at to raise money for our Trans Group (which I facilitate). Basically, we'd be looking at having an account where people looking for financial aid for Trans-related needs could be granted sums of money.

I was wondering if any of you have done this kind of thing to pay for the costs of physical transition, or anything else roughly that expensive, and would be willing to share successful ideas. I think that it would be awesome if this thread could be used to help out everyone looking to raise money to pay for transition, not just in reply to my scenario, cause it's hard to come up with events by yourself :/ (so feel free to share your situations, I'd love to brainstorm together).

So far, I'm thinking of doing:
-A cake auction
-A dinner party
-Bake sales
-Car washes
-T-Shirt sales
-An art show
-Trans-Scout Cookies (Haha, wouldn't that be something?)

All contributions are greatly appreciated  ;D

You could hold an auction and ask people to donate items/services for it.

As a side note, I would definitely buy transscout cookies!
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

A blah blog
