I moved back to my home state a couple months ago and went from getting free T, needles, and appts, to no longer having that option. I was told if I have problems obtaining T or needles, a Dr from my old clinic out west will send me the needed letters to obtain them. I have enough T to last another few shots, but only have one needle left. Sooooo - curious as to where you guys purchase your needles online? And do you need a prescrip for them? And while I'm asking, wondering how many of you order your T online, and how you go about doing it? Thanks.

Thanks.

I will say it's safe to assume you need a Dr's prescription for T, but how about needles?

You need a prescription for needles as well, I think.  At least my doctor writes it out in the scripts he gives me.  It's fairly safe to assume if he'll write you out a prescription for T he will do it for needles as well.

I just go to Walgreens with script in hand.  No problem at all and my insurance covers 95% of the cost.

According to Walgreen's here, generic T is no longer available in 10ml vials, they will give 1 ml vials. I found this unacceptable and went to stroheckers which automatically adds your syringes and needles at no extra cost.

Stroheckers hooks you up with everything you need

Stroheckers is the best I've heard online.

For the guys who use Stroheckers what is your usual wait time after they get your prescription to the time you get it?

I live one state away from Stroheckers and it's usually here within two days

Strohecker's is where i get everything.  They give you wipes, needles, syringes.  If you need a specific size of syringe just ask.

Usually get it between 2 to 3 days after ordering.  Vial lasts 4-5 months and costs 55-60 bucks.

I tried for a couple of months to go through insurance and they would only let me take one month's worth of T at a time, and the insurance didn't cover needles/syringes.

Strohecker's is a great deal.  They rock.

The Apothecary Shop is a bit cheaper. You get a 10ml. size bottle for $35.00 which includes needles.

Shayne - Do you get your prescription mail-order from them, or do you live in a state where you can pick it up in person?  Also, how long is your bottle usually good for (from the time you get it until it expires)?  I've been having a bit of trouble with Strohecker's short-dating my prescription, and the last time I talked to them they said that they could only guarantee full potency for 6 months.  Unfortunately, with the amount I've been prescribed, a bottle lasts me more than 6 months, so I either end up using outdated T, or throwing some out.  :-\  I'm just curious if that's the nature of the beast, or if it has to do with the way they compound it.

I don't actually order from them. It's cheaper for me to get it at CVS since my insurance covers it.

I believe Nero/Forum Admin orders from The Apothecary Shop though. He might be able to answer your questions. (:

I'm not on T yet, but at that price I'm getting really anxious to start. Such a doable price! T_T

When I first started T I got it from Strohecker's. They're very friendly, fast and the fact they include the necessary supplies is a bonus. My insurance now covers my T and supplies. There were times in the past when I've run out of needles and I was able to get them from a local needle exchange. For those of you unfamiliar, it's where people (usually drug addicts) go for fresh syringes/needles. I only had half a dozen needles for exchange but they hooked me up with a whole box since they told me no there's not much of a demand for IM needles.
