After about a year and a couple months on T I began to get really interested in getting as fit as I could. I was curious to know if my body would respond to the physical training differently than a bio mans body. I looked for a trainer that may have some knowledge at least of the lgbt community. I finally found a personal trainer and told her my situation and that I wanted to see how I compared to other bio men.

So far my training is going well. It's been about 4 months. I was curious to know if anyone else has starting working out regularly or bodybuilding and how did your body respond to it. There seems to be very little info or even ftms out there who bodybuild/workout pretty consistantly.

I think it would be cool if people could post their workout routines as well.

Ive been interested in this too, Id like to increase my upper body strength and size as much as possible :p I have joined a gym (I just find that I dont go as much as Id like to simply because I hate the discomfort my binder causes) but having been on T for over a year, its obviously helpig with results.

Have you ever visited the Beefheads site? That is run by an ftm bodybuilder and there are dozens of ftms on there that have produced amazing results through working out. I know a while ago the site ran into problems with funding or something, but I think its still up and running. I can have a look around or something, see if I find it.

I've been into weight training for a few years always plateued at the same point til started T a few months ago and am now getting great results. I'm a lot stronger tha I have ever been especially in my chest and back, and getting nice definition across m upper body. Only negative is I am finding it a lot harder to lose body fat than I did preT. I'm currently following Bill Pearls program which is free on his website and I have my own home gym (a lot cheaper than paying gym membership) which means I don't have the worries about my binder. I did the body sculpting workout (Rivera) for a couple of years which was ok and had a personal trainer briefly but I didn't gain any muscle with him. I tried following random workouts in magazines (mens fitness etc) but found they led to overtraining and burnout really quickly. I know that male and female muscle anatomy is different but have no idea how that affects us once we are on T and the implications for bodybuilding. What I am doing so far is working really well for me and hope it continues.

For a while now I've been going to the gym at least 3 times a week and ideally up to six times a week.  I use to switch off days of weight training and cardio but now I'm just doing weight training.  I had a trainer back when I could afford him.  The one thing he told me that stuck with me is to work the muscle until it fatigues.

So I literally work my muscles until they cannot do any more.  For example I do pull-ups, dips, overhead press and push-ups to work my shoulders with as heavy weight as possible.  As soon as I can do 15 in a row without stopping I move up on my weight.  The good new is that I am keeping up with the other guys at the gym without much problem.  That's a great feelings.  I am constantly sore but I take that as a sign that my muscles are growing.

I think I am gaining muscle faster now that I'm on T.  At the very least I am doing more than I ever have before.
