Hi everyone. I'm starting HRT in just a matter of weeks. I'm curious, judging on the images below, how fast do you think the hormones will take to show visible changes (in terms of weeks)? I already seem to pass without the hormones, so since I'm already naturally very feminine should they work faster for me?

Hard to say since it is a combination of age and genetics that determine that. However, you already look feminine enough to pass. The only thing that might enhance that is eyebrow shaping, some makeup and breasts. The latter will come with hormones, but it takes time. More than a few weeks.

In the first few months
Get those eyebrows shaped sweetie.

You are very pretty. Time to ex the catapillars though hun. Your skin and I'm guessing your face will change quickly (you really don't have far to go) The rest takes time, it's puberty and nothing happen overnight.

It isn't a matter of weeks, Charlotte.  It is years.  You are going to go through puberty again, which is a matter of years.  But fear not, you are already cute and you will do well on HRT.

And yes go get the brows shaped.

Def wage war on the caterpillars...if you had those shaped and I passed you in the street I wouldn't see anything other than a girl.

Thanks for all of your input. The reason I'm asking is, I'm home for winter break right now. I'm seeing my Dr. this wed. (Dec 14th) and will be back to school January 15th. I was wondering if I start to take the hormones once I get them on Wed., what are the chances of them making noticable changes before I leave home? Would my parents notice anything major within that time period or is the first few weeks to a month mainly minor changes such as hair and skin changes, etc??? Thanks!!!

Haha~Oh, yes, yes! I agree the eyebrows are bit out of control. I usually get them waxed but since starting school I haven't really had any money to waste on it. Soon though!

The hormones will work when they work. If you take them, regularly, and stop thinking about them you will wake one morning, look in the mirror and think, who's that?
