http://lezgetreal.com/2010/12/anti-lgbt-activist-tries-to-lay-claim-to-rainbow-symbol/Jennifer Roback Morse is the founder and president of the Ruth Institute, and she now believes that her organization dates back to at least 1977. She claims that the rainbow, which is the symbol of the LGBT Community, does not belong to the LGBT Community. Of course, that is broadly true, but the rainbow flag and symbol as designed by Gilbert Baker in 1978 and gaining popularity after the assassination of Harvey Milk in that year, is now so interlinked with the LGBT Community that to try and say that it is not part of or the symbol of the LGBT Community is rather ridiculous.

Of course, Morse wrote rather absurdly recently:
"Do you really believe that mothers and fathers are interchangeable and that gender is irrelevant to parenting? If gender is really irrelevant, why do self-described "gays" insist on having a male sex partner? Why isn't a really masculine woman just as acceptable as a male sex partner?"
