After a few months of looking after my skin, growing my hair out and having my eyebrows done, I've noticed that I no longer feel quite as deflated as I used to after I have  taken off my makeup and wig. I just looked at myself in the mirror two minutes ago and saw (a slightly tired version of) Michelle staring back at me! No makeup at all, all I did was scrunch my hair back behind my head with my hands!

I myself found this a very satisfying experience, mainly because it feels like I am never far away from Michelle any more in my everyday life in male mode, the other reason is that it means I can switch back and forth much more easily than was possible teo or three months back. Now if I just keep my legs and arms shaved and moisturised, I can do the switch in about 45 minutes, not counting doing my nails - that takes a bit longer.

I'm sure those who have finally transitioned have had this experience, but how about those who haven't?

I see it as an encouragement to people to try making gradual little changes. Only people who haven't seen me for a while notice there is something different about me. Usually they say I look younger and happier....which is exactly how I feel!

That is terrific! :)  I have yet to get to that point, mainly because I feel my facial hair gets in the way.  I do see parts of my feminine self, but I feel I have a long way to go before I get to where I want to be.  Anyway, glad to hear things are working out for you, Michelle.  :)
