hey all,

so it's that time of year again....new year's eve when we all want to dress up in our best and hit the town! for the last few years....i've just done the jeans...shirt...tie...blazer thing.  i always feel comfy in this outfit....but for some reason I am wanting something a little different this year.  I don't follow trends too much....so I have no idea whats "in".  I definitely want to stick with my guy look...although not completely a FTM, I feel most comfortable in guy wear.  I love suits and ties...that sort of thing.  I was just curious what all you other guys are wearing this year?  let me know if i am in the wrong forum!

You could ditch the blazer and instead go for a leather jacket (or a retro style leather jacket).

i was thinking about that...the leather that is. I already have a leather jacket as I ride a motorcycle. I'm just not sure it's going to be dressy enough.  How do you all feel about ties these days?  still skinny?

I think fat ties are in? I dunno, it depends on the shirt you're wearing. I had to get a very thin one because the neck on my button up was very thin, but I saw a lot of really wide ties while shopping.

I just wear a nice button up with slacks.

I like a nice button up or polo. Is it just me or are sweater vests coming back into style this year?

Definately try a vest.  Either button up or sweater vests are really in this year.  Hard to go wrong with a skinny tie and button up vest.
