A 16-year-old boy suffering from autism has been granted permission to begin sex change treatments, provided he has his sperm frozen in case he wants children.

The Family Court granted permission for the teen, referred to for legal reasons as "O", to begin hormone treatment following an emergency application from his parents, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Aside from calling 'O' by male pronouns and the dreaded 'want's to be a woman' the article was well written with the exception of the tacked on summery. The mis-gendering I'm used to but 'suffering from autism', really? About one in 200 people are born with an autism spectrum disorder and our suffering doesn't come from our disorder, it comes from living in an ablest world full of neurotypical people who think there's something wrong with the 34 million people not like them and have the nerve to pity us.

Signed just another bitter trans aspie who can't even buy a pack of smokes without someone giving her the 'are you retarded' look.

Hmm I don't understand why they thought it was necessary to freeze sperm "just in case", like she's made a good decision in transitioning but might not have thought about kids? Instead of ruling that as a court order they should just ask her what she thinks about it and if she wants kids or not.
