Defend Christians.org, a San Diego-based "ministry" of the self-styled Christian Anti-Defamation Commission, just-released a list of the R"Top Ten Anti-Christian Events in 2010." The list is the result of an online poll "of Christians and people of good will" at the group's website. Though no numbers were published, Defend Christians' Chairman and CEO Dr. Gary Cass said in a press release that the poll results "demonstrate a double standard is being applied against Christians and their faith, values and liberty."

The poll asked: What were the top 10 most egregious acts of anti-Christian bigotry in the United States in 2010? Not unexpectedly, the offered list of suggestions included gay criticism of the Family Research Council's Tony Perkins after he offered "true hope to homosexuals struggling with depression and suicide, found through repentance and faith in Christ;" the appointment of "liberal law professor and open lesbian" Chai Feldblum to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; and of course, the decisions by federal judges that Don't Ask, Don't Tell and Prop 8 are unconstitutional.

Nonetheless, given all the choices, poll participants picked the introduction of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) as the number one anti-Christian "event" of 2010.

HOW is it Anti Christian to offer Equal Rights to all?
What the F happened to "love your neighbour" and "turn the other cheek"?

Contradictions mean that the Bible means whatever you want it to mean.

It isn't.

Just a bunch of politically motivated idiots using the term.

Christians don't judge because it isn't their place.

Recent polls have about 83% of Americans claiming to belong/believe in some religion or another, with the vast majority, 78.5%, claiming to be Christians.  That "Help, help, we're being oppressed deal" is not in line with the facts.

Indeed.

Though I doubt the majority of Americans who call themselves Christian claim to be persecuted.

Just those who use it as a means to get noticed. Such as this idiot. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Phelps

I can't wait until America becomes a secular country.
And I'll sacrifice an aborted fetus to Great Atheismo when an atheist President is elected.

I'm sure we've had several atheist presidents, it's just not popular to say so.  But the closest Ronald Reagan ever got to a church during the entire 8 years when he was President was when he drove by one.

They make useful fools for the Right Wing, just like all the 'teabag' promises that were made and are now being dumped as fast as can be.

You mean they won't balance the budget by lowering taxes?
