LGBT friendly store being targeted

"You can't force your own feelings and opinions on another person. That is how I tried to raise my kids," said Yale, whose girls attend gay Pride in Lansing each year. "You have to be respectful of everybody else."

Over a year ago Yale opened Davey's Basement in downtown Mason. The small store carried everything from music and T-shirts to novelty items and a small section of LGBT items. From the day it opened, her store was a hit with the local kids who would not only come to shop but hang out.
[...]
"She said, 'So and so's mom said she couldn't come in here again.' We assumed she was grounded," recalled Yale. But the girl's friend told Yale that "her mom said you guys have the gay store and she can't come in here."

Davey's Basement, the business that is being targeted.

This is a perfect example where rolling over and playing dead, turning the other cheek, ignoring or otherwise allowing these bigots to run over people they disagree with is not working.  I believe we are winning the war, but every battle we lose causes pain and loss to those of us in our TBGL (reversal to fit my cause deliberate) communities, and good people that merely support us.

We had one of these outbreaks in Kansas, at Meade, last year.  I don't have a lot of reason to patronize Meade, but so far, I have twice passed through rather then spend a few bucks there.  I have even less reason to go to Mason, Michigan, but certainly will completely avoid it in the future with my dollars should the occasion arise.  There needs to be a concerted effort to publicize these incidents and provide a meaningful system of outrage expressed that gets the many, actually most, non mean-spirited citizens in the affected communities to reign in the morons in their midst, not be confused with Gorillas in the Mist, or now that I think about it, maybe to be so confused.

Rant finished, except -  >:(

I am thinking about ordering something inexpensive from their site, but will have to wait until the end of the month.
