That is so cool Wishy.  It's those little things that seem to be the most important.  Cherish those moments hon.

I remember on christmas day, my mum made me proud. We were walking to her husbands parents house with the dog and me and the dog were walking ahead side by side, and it was my mum that pointed out 'One man and his dog'

;D

I've barely started transitioning and most days I make no effort to pass. I still go to work in male mode though all my clothing is female. Mannish female cloting. I have been growing my hair out for 4 years now and several months on electrolysis. I wear my hair in a pony tail most of the time.

I got called "Miss" the other day at Wal-Mart. And I got called "ma'am" at three out of the five steps going through security at Vancouver Airport, coming back to LA at Christmas time.

Cool.

What I think is funny is this one time, some chick said "Are you a guy?" to me very cockily, trying to get me angry (Why? Because there are lots of stupid people where I work. I wasn't on shift, though. I was playing some games and they were trying to pick a fight). I just smiled. They had no idea that they just made my day, even if they were trying to piss me off. If anything, it made me laugh at their pathetic attempt to try and pick a fight.

But other than that, I really don't get called a 'he' other than from a couple of my friends (and only if they "remember". Ugh, wish they didn't have to do that). Never by strangers.

I get ma'am-ed all the time, even though I look and dress male still. Many people think I was originally a female. Which is cool by me because in the future I will be.

i understand that feeling....i have been ma'med in a walmart before....until i turned around and she saw my facial hair (i really have to get rid of that) then she said "oh im sorry, sir"
it was a happy yet sad feeling at the same time

I ordered pizza and the delivery guy called me ma'am...and he didn't correct himself either which I surely thought he would after looking at me a little longer. It was nice :)

haha, my first instinct when I read your post was to rush to comfort you...how DARE they call you a HE.

I guess I'm still getting used to the little icons and things on this site. I now see that that's a GREAT thing. Grats!

I went shopping yesterday, without really trying to appear female. I was just me, you know? The pharmacist approached me, and she began to explain the drug interaction/information. First she identified who the drug was for (still under my male name, I'm headed to the courts in 2 weeks), then she began to describe how HE should take it. Her directions seemed to include how I should instruct HIM to take the meds...it was nice to experience a situation where the person addressing me automatically assumed I wasn't the male on the piece of paper in front of her.

I'm sure that I'll get used to the attention soon enough. =)
