I know this will seem stupid to some of you but I'm stressing. I got my shot in my thigh 18 days ago and tonight the injection site (or really close to it) started itching. It's a little lump, doesn't hurt, but it does itch. I've read on the internet various replies of this is normal to "go get this checked out immediately" I feel okay and wouldn't have noticed if it didn't start itching. Is this normal especially 18 days later for it to randomly appear? 

Edit: It has stopped itching so I am just going to keep an eye on it. If it gets worse I will call my doctor. I'm also going to try heat to reduce the lump and massage to reduce it if it is an oil lump. Thank you Vexing for responding and calming me down. I've read this is common so I'm curious if other guys have gotten this? I'm now wondering because with the threads (on other sites) I'm reading these guys are talking about the lumps not going away. Is that really the case? Thanks everyone.

Sometimes if you don't do the shot right, some of the T can encapsulate. However, this is a little late in the piece after your shot for this to be happening (the body usually breaks it down within a couple of weeks).
How do you fill your needle? Is it pre-filled or do you fill it from a glass ampoule? If you snap the ampoule open, sometimes a tiny shard of glass can get up into the syringe with the fluid and will then get injected with the T. The glass shard will normally work its way out though. If this is how you do your shots, then this is a possibility.
The other possibility is that it's a co-incidence. Maybe you got an ingrown hair at the site, or a mosquito bite. It seems unlikely that it would take 18 days to manifest.

Thanks for the quick answer Vexing, either are a possibility. It's from a glass vial. It could very well be something odd like that. I don't know that the person who did my shot went far enough into the muscle so maybe that could be a cause.

The more sites I look into the more it's a "oh this happens all the time scenario and it fixes itself" with someone else responding yet again that they need to see a doctor immediately.

In my experience in administering T shots to trans men, this isn't anything to be worried about, bumps and itching are comparitively commonplace. If it starts to get inflamed and the site starts to swell, then pop in and see your doctor - it will be an infection of some sort (either something went in with the fluid or something go into the injection site after the shot).

Andrew, I've had similar experiences. At one time, days after a shot, I had a large lump on my thigh which was red and inflamed and the muscle hurt like I can't tell you. I ignored it and only went to the GP when it became painful to walk. He had a good look and said I'd be fine. He was right.

Other times, I've had smaller lumps there, they've always gone down eventually.

I wanted to say thank you again to both of you. It hasn't itched since that night or bothered me at all but since there is still a little lump (can't see it but can feel it) I tried a hot compress a couple hours ago along with massaging it and it has decreased dramatically by doing that. I'm going to keep doing that for the next couple of nights and hopefully it will go away entirely. If not as soon as I have cash I will make it to the doctor.

I don't have insurance and used all the cash I had saved up on getting on T. I don't have a job so I literally had no cash to see a doc and the ER near me pretty much blows you off unless you have severe symptoms and tell you to see your regular doctor. Since it was just the lump I didn't know what to do.  You guys helped calm me down and think logically so thank you again

It's good to hear that it has stopped itching, hopefully it will vanish completely in a week or so.

ive had this happen to me and didnt realize somtimes if you do the shot in the same place for so long the tissue becomes damaged and holds the testosterone there releasing incredibly slow, i kept doing it in the same places (both sides of the hip) and these lumps kept showing up, if you become sluggish and lose your sex drive change your injection area, i didnt until two years later it totally ruined my relationship with my girlfriend.

I got a little lump after my first shot, it went away after 5-6 days though

Yikes I'm sorry that happened to you Dark Rider thankfully mine went away and this time around I did some heat and massage (about 10 minutes) directly after my shot and had no lump come up
