Since the 'ftm gamers' took off pretty well I decided to make this thread too.

Just thought this would be a good way to have a chat about games we like or dislike, discuss improvements etc.
Good way to decide new games to purchase from like minded guys.

Figured I'd start with something on the current gen systems

1. Game title: Uncharted 1 and Uncharted 2
2. Type of game: Action Adventure
3. Would you recommend it? Why?: If you have a PS3, you need to play these games. They're easily my favourite on the system and especially in the case of Uncharted 2, display the PS3's visual capabilities full force with gorgeous landscapes, character designs and visual prestige. The voice acting is top notch and Nathan Drake, the series hero, is easily the funnest character I've had the pleasure of playing, he's hilarious and badass
4. Very brief description: Essentially, Uncharted is semi similar to Indiana Jones. You run around various parts of the globes in attempts to uncover some great mysterious treasure (cooler than my lame description). As mentioned you take on the role of Nathan Drake, a descendent of Sir Francis Drake, who has a knack for getting himself in trouble. The game is an action adventure third person shooter, and is the first shooting game I haven't completely sucked at, so give it a shot even if you aren't the best shooter.

1. Game title: I'm a hockey-addict, so my favourite (yes, I live in the States but I spell like I'm British ) game is NHL 11. I also like God of War (all 3) and Assassins Creed (though I've only played that at my buddy's house).
2. Type of game: respectively: sports (hockey), action/adventure, and action/adventure-ish.
3. Would you recommend it? Why?: yes to all three! They all have amazing graphics and are pretty simple to pick up. In NHL 11, you play the whole season and build your character up, which gives a ton of flexibility to the game play. Also, again, I'm a hockey-addict . God of War 3 is intense and violent, full of ripping off heads and thumbnails, destroying gods, and with the sad backstory of a man who misses his dead wife and daughter. Assassins Creed is also intense and violent, not to mention intriguing.
4. Very brief description: NHL 11: You create your own character and customize him to the position of your choice, as well as on the team of your choice, and play a season. It's pretty simple, but tons of fun. God of War 3: Kronos/Cronos (I'm not sure which spelling they use) is trying to get his revenge on the gods. He goes through Mt. Olympus, gaining skills along the way, on his quest to kill Zeus. Assassins Creed: from what I've been able to pick up, the main character comes from a long, long, long  line of assassins. He's being studied by scientists who unlock his ancestors' memories within him and the player goes through missions of sorts as the ancestor. It's a lot cooler than it sounds, trust me!
