Okay so I've been on T for a little over four months and I have a habit of looking at myself in the mirror often to try to see what I can fix. I notice every time that the one thing I can't stand is my thighs. Obviously this is a girly feature which I want GONE. I just wanted to know if the T is going to help get rid of this. If so, how long is it going to take? On top of that... I go to the gym every day and do an hour of cardio machines. Will this help speed it up?

I lost a lot of fat in my thighs my first month on T..

It may just take longer for you, but im sure cardio will also help/

One straight hour doesn't work as well at burning fat quickly as doing intervals do though.....if you're wanting to burn fat on your thighs.

@Mark

I might have lost some of the fat in my thighs but not as much as I would have hoped. I was put on a low dose to start though and just got it upped so maybe I'll start working its real magic soon.

@Jesse

What did you have in mind? Any advice is welcomed.

Did you do any exercises?

The best exercise for tighs.... STAIRS!! They are your friend. Walk them up, walk them down...every time you see some stairs, just pick them instead of the elevator. Living in a 5ยบ flat without elevator made me realize that if you want to lose some fat in the butt and the tighs, the stairs will make miracles to you... plus you don't have to spend dollars on the gym, just pick them up when walking around.
Riding on bike is very helpful too. There are some exercises in what you do a horse kick and the results are quite good. You may want to search on youtube for tigh reduction exercises videos.
Good luck  ;)

Well when I go to the gym I do the eliptical for a half hour then I use the bikes for a half hour, hoping it'll work on my thighs. Just gottta cross my fingers I guess.

An estrogen blocker also helps as that is basically female hormone orientated fat distribution.....

There's always exercises you can do for thighs like squats.

I never really had a lot of fat in my thighs, but what I did have is gone! I've been on T for almost 16 months, the first time a really noticed a huge difference was probably around my 10 month mark when I put a pair of jean on for the first time in months. I'm sure I started losing it before that, but it wasn't something that a paid a lot of attention to. I have continued to lose it though because I recently had to go down a pant size because my jeans were falling off of me.

I am genetically male and I can say, I have very fat thighs. They baloon out unlike the rest of my legs. So it's not really a female only (not saying you can't try and get rid of them). :)

Exercising your thighs doesn't make you lose fat in your thighs.

Exercising the various muscles that make up your thighs can give that part of your body a nicer, more muscular shape. Squats, climbing stairs are both the kind of exercises that work for this.

Whether you lose weight is dependent on your diet (are you taking in fewer calories than your body needs).

Where you lose fat or muscle (when you do lose weight) is a function of exercise: if you are gaining or maintaining your muscle, then you will lose your weight in fat.

And where you lose fat (if you're losing fat & not muscle) is mostly about your genetics & hormones. For some female-bodied people, the thighs/butt/hips are the LAST place you will lose your fat, no matter WHAT exercise you do.

T does change things up in how your body distributes its fat (or holds onto it), but it's a very slow progression. It seems pretty common for people to not notice anything major until the 6 month mark, at the minimum.

Anyway, keep eating healthy/clean, keep doing more fat burning exercises (which means high intensity interval training & resistance training, NOT steady state cardio), and eventually, you'll see a real difference.

Thanks to everyone for their advice. Luckily my thighs aren't THAT huge but its something I personally notice. I think I'll try to just keep up with my normal workout for now and keep a bit of an eye on it as I go on with the hormones. If I'm not happy in a little while with how things go on their own then I'll try harder on that area.

The muscles you work the most will grow bigger and stronger for it.
So, instead of working the thighs themselves, try working something else, so that they look smaller by comparison.

I've been on T 8 months and probably just about 2 weeks ago I was getting dressed, I had my boxer briefs on and looked down - I was like..."Holy ->-bleeped-<- that's a dudes leg"  I hadn't really noticed anything, then one day it was like everything had shifted into a more masculine shape. That new shape combined with the hair has made my legs my new fav feature ;D

Or deadlifts, if you work more on building muscle thatll burn fat quicker and once the fat has melted off youll have nice muscly manly thighs :D
