In commenting on the acquisition of the Chaz Bono documentary Becoming Chaz by Oprah Winfrey's nascent cabler OWN, gay rights foe Peter LaBarbera called Bono's story 'sad.'

"Oprah can't redeem the Chastity/Chaz Bono story – one of the saddest spectacles of our rebellious, gender-confused age," LaBarbera, founder of the anti-gay group Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, messaged his 114 followers along with a link to On Top Magazine's story about the acquisition.
