Anyone else like my Beatles reference?  ;D

Anyway, my name is Heath and I found this forum by simply browsing on google for a forum for FTM transsexuals.  The first result to come up was this place and it definitely sparked my interest.  So, about a month ago I started lurking around here and many of the questions I had about transitioning were being answered by other FTMs.  Not only that, but I saw a lot of similar experiences that I could identify with and relate to in terms of the experiences of others.  I have recently started T injections at the beginning of this month, so I'm pretty happy about that - it's such a huge step that I've taken in my life and even though it was one of the toughest decisions I've made (because I weigh pros and cons incessantly), I felt totally relieved and MUCH happier the moment I got my first T shot on Jan. 4th.  I look forward to this second puberty and can already tell I feel much better about it than my first one!

Beyond the whole transsexual aspect of me:

-I'm turning 22 this month.
-I am currently in my senior year of college working towards a BA in Sociology.
-I'm left-handed (haha)
-I live in a pretty accepting overall community, but the town I live in is a bit racist, sexist, homophobic, and transphobic.
-My personality type is INTJ.  Google Myers-Briggs personality test so you can find out what that means!

Now I think I shall take a look around the other forums some more and respond in some threads - I noticed there were a few I wanted to share in!

Wow, 5100 members?  I didn't realize there was so many!  That's really cool.  Thanks for the links about the rules and decorum - I made sure I read those before even posting my introduction.  I think it's great to be part of such a large family.  Nice to meet you Janet!

Welcome to Susan's Heath!

Like you, I lurked about this site for a bit before joining (though not quite as long), and I can tell you that I haven't regretted joining for a single second. I am the SO of a MtF and came to Susan's seeking education and support, and let me tell you, this site is never lacking in either of those things.

I am glad to hear that you have already started T and that it is easing your mind.  :D

Myself, I am an ENFJ (there was actually a thread on this  : https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,90462.msg655717.html#msg655717). I love the Beatles and social sciences.

I think know you will fit in well here. You seem like a genuine person and you have a great sense of humor.

Welcome again, I look forward to reading more of your posts!

Hugs,
Jacquelyn
