Actually, the worst parts were the letters that lay just on either side of my spine...he did the bird with the big needles, so it didn't really take that long and I was already used to it.
Right next to the spine, though? Not fun. In fact, when he got done with the letters, he let me have a break and my hands were shaking.

There are so many things in this world far more offensive than a pronoun.
And I have to agree with Pica...a lot of our unrest does seem to come from TS types who are much more fervent in the gender department. I like the laid back, never get bent out of shape way of doing things. It just feels so much better.
