A little back story: I will be 9 weeks on T Wednesday. My doctor (we'll say Dr. W) told me to take..."dose x" which will forever remain unknown in this thread and will only be referred to as "dose x." Unfortunately he wrote the 'script on the wrong paper and I was unable to get it filled. Another doctor (we'll say Dr. B) was the one that actually wrote the prescription I got. "J" who is one of the people working in the transgender section of the clinic saw the prescription Dr. W wrote, compared it against the doctor that used to handle transgender patients and said it was much too high, and I should be taking half that amount. Eventually my prescription was filled and when I got it, it was for a different concentration vial and was "1/4th dose x." I was confused but took it anyways. I took my last shot last week on Tuesday and had a blood test on Thursday. The cost of my labs was $300, which was billed to me.

TODAY: I got a call from Dr. W who (lol) called about my shots and levels. He said my testosterone levels were far too low but it turned out he was looking at the wrong number. He was looking at my free testosterone levels which were low (but within the average range) for a male around my age. Since my shot was so close to the test, my levels should've been much higher. He asked about my dose and seemed pissed that I was taking such a low dose. I told him my concerns about taking it every other week and about "the red death." He told me to take the "1/4th of dose x" but more frequently to get rid of the low lows. He also asked about the cost of the labs and said he would try to get them reduced. My blood sugar which I was concerned about was normal, kidney and liver were all normal, everything looked good!

Getting the good info and having my dose increased was even better news because right before the call I cleaned up dog puke all over the house (she swallowed something she shouldn't had).
