As I mentioned in my earlier thread, I am 11 years post-op and have been dilating A LOT lately -- about 2-3 hours a day. Things have improved a lot and generally I have a good feel of how much pressure to apply. Over the years I've never had bleeding and didn't have any for the past few weeks. But today I was moving the dilator around a bit at a more oblique angle and went too far and I felt a tinge of discomfort and immediately removed it and then noticed some blood (not much but the lube had some), so now I wonder if I have gotten a tear.
Is this okay and normal? I thought it wasn't a big deal if you get tears in intercourse, but I am not sure.
Should I pause or stop dilation to let it heal or should I do the opposite? Just after SRS, you dilate even while it is healing and bleeding, so maybe I should keep dilating, but I don't know if because the skin is different that things are not the same.
I'm going to call my surgeon's office tomorrow for advice (haven't called in a decade), but until then I was wondering what you all think?
