With Suporn, does depth depend on penis size?
I don't have much material to work with.
And what are the down-sides of being circumsized?
I was circumsized as an adult which left visible scars.
I assume it will still show after srs.

I asked this in a thread Val created but since it's
a little old I thought I'd start my own thread.

Don't worry, you're not alone here. I was not given any respect, and was circumcised soon after birth. While this means we have less donor tissue, I'm not sure how is affects the techniques of different surgeons. I know that Suporn will excise the hair follicles from the scrotal graft and use that to create the distal vagina, which tends to make up for a lack of donor material. Also, a skin graft to increase depth would be a possibility too.

I had my surgery with suporn last november...i am not sure about you but one of the girls i managed to make friends (still friends with till this day) with was circumsized and she retained a depth of 6 inches. not bad.

I was uncircumsized and retained a depth of 8 inches. I'm not sure what you mean by "size" but i was like 5 inches fully erect hahaha. Damn asian genes. =P

Forgive my ignorance, but can dilation increase depth?  And what kind of depth do you want to achieve? Is there a min number?

Side Note: This is probably the first time I heard someone say the penis size and didn't automatically subtract an inch or two! *grin*

Michelle.

This would be an interesting study. How much does pre-op size affect post-op depth.

First can I say that I find this obsession with depth is a rather odd thing. I don't go round comparing my vaginal capacity with my girlfriends so I always feel a bit uncomfortable in threads like this. However I know that it is an ongoing concern for many so I will answer in the interests of trying to stop you from worrying.

Depth does depend on the technique used, and of course the amount of material can be more of an issue in some of the techniques. But there are other factors than purely size alone as I shall explain. I suffer from a low grade from of partial androgen insensitivity. Thus my male bits were not huge, but the skin was pretty elastic and soft. So a little could be stretched to go a long way. Elasticity as well as raw size is a factor.

As far as I know I was an early experiment in penoscrotal free grafting. Its over 25 years now and I didn't actually ask at the time. So I am inferring that from where the scars are etc. Without the internet I had no knowledge of what to expect. The only guide I had was that the dilators were a certain size so I figured that they were probably meant to be able to go in more or less all the way. I was also blissfully unaware that people sometimes had worries in this area.

Such ignorance can be bliss and as a result I worked away at my dilation diligently. 26 years on I have around 7 inches of workable depth in that the biggest dilator can be pushed in all the way to the point where it is very difficult to find sufficient of it protruding to get a grip and pull it out. This is more than enough to accommodate any man I'm ever likely to find, because of course in a real intercourse situation the man loses about 2 inches between the two bodies so anyone up to about 9 or 10 inches would be fine with me and that's a pretty big fella!

I know of people who were far better endowed than I was who have very little depth because they didn't dilate properly. I also know of people who have limited depth because the bones in their pelvis did not allow enough space in the lower abdominal area to form the new vaginal space. This is critical. I have a reasonably wide pelvis (for a male) and there is LOTS of free space inside without hitting bits of bowel and other organs. Thus my surgeon was able to hollow out the surgical equivalent of the grand canyon and I had very little discomfort when dilating it to the max.

So no, size and depth are not necessarily related. There are a lot of other factors involved as well. The best advice I can give is choose a decent surgeon. Follow his or her advice diligently and you will get the best result that you can.
