No Gender Therapists?

I was planning to leave my state to go to college elsewhere, but my lack of credits and activities is really making that impossible, so I'll more than likely end up staying here.

Bad thing is, this is Wyoming.  There are no gender therapists here.  So...my only other option is online therapy, but I have no idea whether that is valid and if people can start hormones and stuff from that.  I'll be pretty much in the middle of Wyoming too, so just going to another state isn't an option sadly.  So what should I do?

How are your credits and activities keeping you from switching schools?  If it's an issue of being accepted, some schools are really good at taking non-traditional students.  (Here's a link to mine in Denver, if you're interested.  They're great about accepting people. http://www.mscd.edu/ )  Also, I know there are a number of therapists in Fort Collins (Northern Colorado) that may be in range for you.  If all else fails, there are some people who have had good luck with online therapists.  You could also start with someone who does not specifically specialize in gender.  Good luck!
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

This exactly. Or if you're positive you are ready to start T and don't want to wait informed consent could be an option.

I have about 8 or 9 transferable credits (my math is remedial so it doesn't count).  I hated high school so much, so I squeezed by with a 2.4 GPA and I haven't done any kind of extra activities or anything.  I'm not involved with clubs, I haven't done anything challenging, I don't look that great on college applications.  But, I did have a 3.8 GPA this past semester of college and I got a 22 on my ACT score.  But applying for colleges sucks up what little money I'm attempting to save and most colleges demand all the extra bits.  So I'm pretty sure that lack of activities+crappy HS grades will drag me down.

I will look at that college though, thanks.  I would much rather just to go another state is general.  Edit: Scratch that.  It has to have housing, sorry  :(

I was the same way. I hated myself so much, I skipped so many days in high school. I also had a 2.4 GPA and I was 7 credits short but they let me graduate with my class after I appealed it. Anyway, I go to a community college where you can transfer to any in state college with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Is there anyway you can get scholarships or anything with such a high GPA?

Probably, but I have to be admitted somewhere first.  My family is planning to move to a state that I just hate with a burning passion, so I'm even more pressured to get out now.  So, I'm in a mad rush to be admitted somewhere in time for scholarships and housing, which is why I'm trying to do it now.  I've noticed a lot of schools won't fully accept applicants until the transcripts are fully updated, so that further limits options.

How do you find doctors who would do that?

I found a life coach therapists. She is open minded and I have already figured out I am ts by specialist long ago. If you are sure maybe a life coach with an open mind will help. She is going to give me my letter to get back on hormones. No gender therapy by me either and I will not leave . I love it here.
Good luck , Ang.
We must value ourselves to our attributes and contributions to others and environment and not our ability to aquire monitery value through means of greed and backstabbing. In this system the greedy would eat what the dogs dont want.

Well I personally didn't go that route but when finding doctors to put me on T I called around and asked the receptionists of hundreds of different doctors offices. I would assume you would do something similar and ask about informed consent. Sorry I don't have a better answer.

I had my first appointment with brandnewdaycounseling.com the other day. I think some other people here got letters from her.

Yeah.  I made another thread and I decided to try for her.  I've contacted her and told her my timezone and when the best times are for me and all that.  I'm currently waiting to hear from her again so we can get all the details set up and whatnot.

How long did it take you to set up an appointment?

It took a couple days to set up, but it was around two weeks before the actual appointment.
