My mom is working out a time for a "trial" appointment with a therapist. The thing is, I don't want to go to this therapist if she won't even be able to give me what I'm going there for. I don't want to waste the time or money. The site my mom used to find her says her certificate is "Colorado/Unlicensed Psychotherapist" but she has a Master's in Counseling Psychology and her website says she's registered with the state of Colorado as a counselor. Does she have the qualifications to give me a letter for T? What are the qualifications?

If they have the ability to diagnose you as having GID, I think that's enough.

It varies from country to country and I think state to state in the USA.

Wait-- so could a school counselor write a T letter, or is that a completely different type of counselor?
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
If it's alright, then you're all wrong.
Why bounce around to the same damn song?

:eusa_think: Just out of curiosity can a registered nurse of 20-30yrs write a letter of recommendation for T therapy?

I just asked my wife ... she is a registered nurse ... she said it's outside of their scope ... that its a diagnoses and they can't make diagnoses
