Sounds excellent ....

But I would suggest you get some counseling ... just b/c of the number of questions you have asked yourself and of the board.  I think it will give you piece of mind to talk to someone who knows what they are doing & they will help you understand what is happening to you.

My knowledge of the US health care is sketchy, but that does look really good.

It could just give you the start you've been looking for.

But we really will need a full report from you about it afterward.

I'd have to agree with Rob.  It can't hurt to meet with a (qualified) therapist first to make sure everything's all settled first.

Looks incredible but I third the idea that it might be best to see a therapist for a bit imo

I am glad that you have made the first steps by yourself to find the answers that you need.

Once you have seen these people you may find that your parents get benefit from taking to someone there as well. Even though your parents are hostile now it always pays to have as many allies as possible during your journey.
