Ok, so I have an odd problem...

I know I want to be a girl... I've known this my entire life, and there is no doubt that it is true... And logically, you'd think that having a mustache would be horrible and devestating to me right? WRONG!!

There lies the problem... Although I do not have a stache, I've noticed that I'm growing one and oddly it doesn't bother me. Honestly I would look seriously cool with a mustache, but I'm not saying I want one... I sometimes act in character as Dr. Norman Cornelius(steampunk persona) and the good doctor has a magnificent stache lol

Is it weird that although I want nothing more than to be a girl, I still don't mind growing a mustache and frequently play the role of an English gentleman with a large bushy mustache?

After I left the army, I was dead set on growing a goatee.
Sadly my facial hair wasn't up to the task and I looked like a 16 year old with a grubby chin, not a 25 year old growing a goatee.
Anyway, the idea was there; I didn't much have a problem with growing it out to see what it would look like.

GAAAAAAHHHHH!!! The image of your profile pic with a goatee will forever be burned into my brain lol... I used to want a large handle bar mustache. I think if I grow a mustache, I'll be to lazy to shave it off anytime soon. Plus I try to stay away from razors... Not fun memories...

Also, I love the thingy running in your signature image!!

I had a mustache or a full beard all of the time I was hiding.  Thank the gods I don't have too any more.

There is totally nothing wrong with doing what you wish. It's your body, as long as you are not hurting somebody else I think we have the right to do what we want to ourselves to feel like being "me".  True a girl walking down the street with a handlebar moustache may get second looks, but so what. Your call.

i think it's different, but is there a reason you can't just get a false moustache? when you act in a different gender, i think in some way your being more gender fluid. you might not be identifying as female that moment, but as some kind of male.

I think I need to clarify, that I am not actively trying to grow a mustache... I just don't have a problem if I do grow one. I'm a odd person, and love to do odd things, so honestly I would have no problem putting on a dress and a false mustache, and going to walmart. I try my hardest to go above and beyond on weird lol

I'm in to the whole victorian era steam powered look, called Steampunk... That's where Dr. Cornelius comes from.  I'm actually witing a book about that character, as he is eccentric beyond all reason and quite frankly totally amazing!! I wear tophats and trenchcoats and whatnot... Just something fun to do I guess...

Sadly when I start living openly as Ashley, the good Doctor must unfortunatly retire... It shall be a sad day indeed for jolly old England!! lol

I've grown a goatee, and in some regards it didn't bother me, and in others it did. My cousin asked me about it and I explained it as so: I feel like when I'm presenting as a man, I look better with facial hair. As long as I'm stuck presenting as a man, I may as well go for it. I'll be happy when all the hair is gone and I am presenting as a woman all the time, but until then why not? The "in between sexes" look on myself bothers me more than looking one way or the other.

I don't cut my face hair off completely. Since I put myself on hold, about 30 years ago, I've maintained it at a few mm. My reasoning is ti protect my face from the effects of twice daily shaving.

Since laser I totally and utterly adore not having to shave every day.  Peace,

Moustaches = Bad.

I had mutton chops, I'd always plucked my cheeks because I suffered from chewbacca cheeks, but doing that depressed me as much as it made me feel better so i'd often let them grow. In the end I kept them for a good 4/5 years because a pretty girl told me they looked nice.

They were probably the most manly thing about me.

Lol mutton chops!! I love saying that it's a fun name... My new doctor has an amazing stache... It poofs out about an inch, and curls under his lip!!

I can see you with mutton chops as easily as I can see the pigs flying outside my window.  Hmm, one just flew by, pink with a moustache.

I did try to grow a beard once, I had bits of hair growing from little areas of my face, I looked like a toothbrush with acne.

One of the many fantastic joys of transitioning was getting may face done. I have responded so well to laser I could cry, and I do. I think that's the E helping out. But to look in the mirror and see skin, just skin and then think OK I want a bit of make up and it isn't I need to paint may face to hide my skin. I can play a little.
