Tall girl has sizes up to 13, which may not help.  I am size 12 girls and mostly turn to the internet for shoes.  I live in Canada too and usually by from canada.zappos.com or planetshoes.com.  But size 14 ouch, I feel for you.

I wear size 14 too and it sucks trying to find shoes.

I gave up locally and had to find some online.

Good luck!

Zappos, Zappos, Zappos.  Tons of shoes, tons of sizes, and a fantastic return policy.  As a size 13 women's myself I sort of feel your pain, and they've been really helpful.

Check out barefoot tess. You can occasionally find some on sale for a reasonable price and they have nice shoes in large sizes.

My therapist suggested getting shoes made. Shouldn't cost much more than good quality off-the-shelf large sizes from what I have seen, and if they are good quality they should last a long time.  I am thinking of wardrobe basics here, boots, black heels etc.

I've often considered that myself, being a 13w/14 mens size.  To me, I don't really feel that I'd want to wear heels, that's just my shtick being as tall as I am, but as for normal shoes, I know a bit of jiggerypokery and crafting can turn a pair of mens boots into a nice pair of women's boots.  Then again, not everyone is experienced with amateur shoe cobbling, so finding a site can likely be helpful.

*wonders is she should start making shoes for people like her...*

I use http://www.bigshoeboutique.co.uk/ every couple of months to look for bargains, I have some pink and yellow flowery trainers for wearing just around the doors, they cost me £2!
