HI Guys and Gals,

I don't want to sound like a party pooper but I guess I am going to... a bit.

Doesn't the idea of having a whole symbol for trans sort of offend you ??? I know I am trans because of a birth problem, but I identify as a woman which is as far as I am concerned what I am. Why do I need a symbol to show me as something different ?

I wouldn't want to stop anyone from having this symbol if that is what they wanted. But it interests me as to why you would want to be differentiated. Personally I just want to fit in to my proper gender..

A valid point, Cathrine.

But for me, I consider myself a woman with a transsexual condition.  It was something I was born with and have had to deal with.  And being transsexual does not make me any less of a woman than being a woman with diabetes or breast cancer.  I also have a breast cancer pin that I wear as well.

For me it is a symbol of solidarity and support, not difference.

Same reason a country has a flag... To identify ourselves and to show pride in who we are. I cannot at the moment be open with the people around me, so creating a poster or something under a different name, is the only way to support others like me.

Plus I'm bored and have nothing better to do lol

I would suggest that a flag is also a differentiator... and flags have probably caused as many wars as religion.

As I said I dont have a problem with people having a symbol. But for me it is not something I can or particularly want to identify with..

The design is nice by the way
