Taylor Mac could have grown tired of being described as "Ziggy Stardust meets Tiny Tim".

Instead, the flamboyant New York performer embraced what more than 20 critics had said about his ukulele-playing performances and used it as inspiration for a brand-new show.

The Ziggy Stardust Meets Tiny Tim Songbook or Comparison Is Violence is what came of Mac's decision to write and perform an original conversation about comparison while singing Tiny Tim songs – such as I've Never Seen a Straight Banana – as well as David Bowie's entire Ziggy Stardust album.
