Nikki_W

Hi I'm Nikki I've already done some posting so this isn't entirely an introduction but I never did one.

I'm a 25 year old female from West Virginia. I currently reside in a male body. I can't give an age but I've know I was female as far back as I could remember. Grew up in a literal bible family/school/church. Graduated high school from a private school run by the church(independent fundamental baptistic in doctrine) after going there K5-12th grade. Needless to say I was never fool enough to tell my parents or anyone I was female. After puberty wrecked my body and my voice and not knowing I had any options. I rationalized myself away and developed a male persona that didn't really care about gender and suppressed me. I rediscovered myself late last year as a result of playing a female avatar in Second Life(an MMO).

I haven't really spent any time debating if I'm a female but I've spent considerable time questioning if transition is right for me or if I'd be better off sticking with the male body I got stuck with. I would say at this point that debate is nearly over in favor of transition. With the help of my girlfriend I got the initial items I needed, Wed night(1/10) was the first time I went out in public as myself. My second trip out was this morning.

At this point I am pre-HRT pre-therapist my girlfriend and online friends know who I am. My parents do not know at this point they do not even know I'm an atheist even though I officially discarded their religion years ago. When I have changed enough they can't help but see I will present them with the facts and the one time choice to choose me or their beliefs.("Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." I fully expect at that point I will have no parents)

I found this site through a search on hiding facial hair and have been lurking here since Nov.

Unrelated Info: full time college student pursuing an MBA, undergrad in Info Tech. Prior navy medically discharged after 5 months in the hospital for GBS. Primary interests are computers and dancing(what a combo).

Berri

Hiya, Just wanted to say hi and let you know I am Nikki's girlfriend. Not sure what to say. This is all very new to me. I am not much of a talker let alone one that posts alot. Thought I should introduce myself though. I am very supportive of her choices and of her being herself.
