Well I've been wanting to meet people transitioning (preferably around my age) and like I met some older women at the support group and maybe next month their will be younger people. ANYWAYS...I figured I could put this out there & see who's near me, maybe we could chat, meet up? etc :3 It would just be great to have real life support, real hugs. =/ I've been needing a real hug badly lately.  Anyways, I live in the middle of California, Monterey Country.  Grosss =[ So...yeah post here

Britney we travel I-5 all of the time between OR and SO CA area. We are still older sorry. If you wanted to meet us somewhere around I-5 we would have a big hug for you.

Ahh age isn't THAT important. That would be awesome if I knew where/what I-5 was lol. You gotta tell me "the road that goes by this building and turns by this thingy here..." etc lol. I get my directionally challengedness from my mom =X

If you go to Google Maps and type in California Road map the 152 goes out to I-5 from Monterey. It is about 60 miles to Los Banos.  I think that is the closest we could match up to. We don't normally travel up the coast because it is longer and we cannot reach our destination in one day. Just a thought.

There might not be much in the Monterey/Carmel area, but I'll bet there is some sort of trans group meeting around Santa Cruz somewhere.  For sure in the San Jose area, but that's a bit far.

I'm in San Mateo. I don't always have access to a car, so getting to Monterey would be tricky. So long as Caltrain doesn't cut service too much more, I can get to San Jose somewhat easily.

Well dude, you like get to San Jose and put out your thumb, then some righteous people will give you a ride and share their vegan organic vegetables as you climb up the pass and then they'll break out the really good kind bud so you can get your head right before hitting Santa Cruz and you'll be totally stoked because they played Phish the entire way at a real loud volume.  Then you can turn your new friends into new enemies by ordering a Bacon Veggie Burger at the way cool, artsey/veggie can-this-really-be-a-restaurant with them.

Or spend a long weekend in SF.  There are meetings about meetings in SF.

I live in Prunedale and when I went to this trans meeting, the therapist said that out of all the towns in Monterey, Prunedale had the most LGBT people. Yet I can't meet or find any of them =/ Yeah theirs a trans support group in Santa Cruz, but the last time they had it, I was too tired from work. =[

Idk where that is =/ and San Jose is sooo far. When I do go there I'll let you know, see if we could work something out!

San Mateo is right on the bay, about half-way between San Francisco and San Jose.
