But um...does anyone have a packer they don't need? I'm kind of desperate for one, socks aren't really cutting it-and I can't make my own, I tried. If someone could get me one somehow I'd be forever grateful.

Yeah, I'm using socks too, but hope to (successfully) make my own by the end of the week. Otherwise, I'll start asking around for packers, too. While we're at it - anyone know of a Europe-based shop that sells packers?
