Hey everyone, just put up my newest video blog. This edition has a special guest appearance from another Susan's member we all know and love! Uh, we got a bit silly.

You are doing fabulously.
Looking good, movement is good and voice at about 80%.
All in 4 months. Not bad.

(You are more and more like my ex every time I see your pic or hear your voice. Like a dopelganger.)
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Thanks ladies!

@Jerica, your vblogs have been an inspiration. I would be interested to know what you think.

@CynthiaLee, I think my voice is probably better in RL. The MTFs I meet in RL all seem to say my voice is fine.  I find the Vblog format to be a bit unnatural and I can fall into some bad habits speaking to myself. Especially since I record these quite late at night, and in this case, after a full day at Disney. Fatigue does awful things to my pitch and resonance and male speech patterns can sneak in. I'll try harder next vblog.

I sound horid. There is a reason I dont post videos of myself.

You articulate so well!! Wow - I wish I could speak as well as you do!

Your voice is great!

And WHY would they want a drivers license for getting your ears pierced?! Are they afraid you might be piercing someone else's ears?
21 22 and loving life! (yuk. i hate getting old!)

->-bleeped-<- yeah! Great vlog, and I'm glad you all had an amazing time at Disney, and in each-others company. I am looking forward to the next installment.

well done! I agree with some of the others that your voice is great! I only wish i had a voice like yours!!! I have a stuupid wuestion, I wanted to record some videos like you have and I was wondering if you could tell me what the best way is to get video and audio like you. I have a dell laptop with a web cam, but its lame, the audio does not match the video.....Help please!!! any advice i would be very grateful to recieve

@ClaireA, thank you! I have some experience speaking in front of people and with video editing. It helps! As for why they wanted a drivers license, to prove I was older than 18 and to use as ID for the waiver that basically says they told me how to take care of my ears and if they get infected and fall off, it is my fault. LOL!

@In Limbo, wow, thank you for the compliment! I sometimes wonder if anybody even cares about this stuff.

@Britney,  ;)

@superkitty, I'm not sure I know how to do that with a dell or PC in general. I'm sure there must be a way. Maybe try calling dell and asking them or maybe one of the ladies here on Susan's has a better answer? I can tell you that I use an Apple laptop with it's built in camera and mic. For editing I use iMovie which also comes free with the computer. iMovie also lets me directly publish to YouTube.

Melody, you make me so excited! :) If that's your voice when it's bad... I wish I could speak like that with confidence. Aaannd I am guilty of not knowing the person in your video. At least, not offhand.

Edit: You have to prove you're eighteen? /sigh
Edit again: Okay, I know who that is  :P

:icon_suspicious: I don't believe it.  Seriously, you look like late 20s or early 30s at the very worst.  (This is coming from a 53-year old, FYI.) Finally, your voice is absolutely NOTHING to be concerned about.  You sound and look GREAT.  ;)

@Marina, haha, no I definitely look over 18, but there was an area where I needed to list birthdate. Piercing Pagoda simply needed to double check the date I put down with what was on my license. They just require you to be over 18 if alone and that is their proof. As for my voice, I have to say that I've been told my other voice was kinda andro to begin with and I was naturally a tenor. What you hear is not that different, just the upper range of normal speaking with some of the resonance taken out. I can slip into it fairly automatically now, but every once in awhile the resonance comes back a bit and I can have a bit of trouble with female cadence and the other bits. Still learning, but it works for me out in public.

@Caith, the video does make me look younger than I do IRL and makeup helps too. I have been told that I look younger than my age IRL too though, but I doubt I look late 20's! lol! In any case, today is the last day of my 30's. Sigh. What a roller-coaster it has been. Thanks for giving me a pass on my voice and looks.

Thanks and great job! I liked it. If you want to add to it, next time you have a guest, try a dialog with both of you on cam at the same time =) It can be rather fun hehe

I actually just posted a new one with my ex-wife and son. No dialog though. Will try that next time.
