Im stuck between two names at the moment and I really cant decide which one I should be called
My first choice is Scott because I have a friend called Scott who is incredible and means a hell of a lot to me and is someone I get a lot of inspiration from. Its also a name Ive always really liked. The trouble with that is I dont want it to feel like im stealing his identity at all as he also looks how I want to look lol. I guess I dont want it to feel like I have to live up to his image either.

My second choice is Matthew because my its probably the closest im gonna get to my birth name as it has no male equivilant so that way its easier for people to get used to and I dont have to change my signature or anything like that. The name itself doesnt really have much meaning to me.

I like Matthew. It's interesting and can be shortened to Mat.

How interesting ... Scott happens to be the name that my wife and I are throwing around for me & Matthew is our ftm son's name... so my imput is that sounds like you have picked good ones.

Although...waitaminute...your nickname could wind up being MatScot...that could be either cute or annoying...

Plus, your friend Scott would probably feel pretty awkward if you change it to that, even if it is a flattering reason.

I would go with Matthew. Besides, should you and Scott be together somewhere and someone calls out to you, you are both going to answer! Matthew sounds nice, as as Spacial has said, it can be shortened to Matt, which is also a very nice name.

Both are nice names. I guess just go with the one you feel like more, or maybe use the other as a middle name.

You look like a Mathew to me but I like both and obviously I like Scott as a middle name since it's my middle name 

I like Matthew,its always been one of my favorite names. Which ever feels more right for you though.

If you decide on Matthew/Mathew Scott, I reckon your friend would be impressed.
