I was on the thin side.  I began losing weight when I started HRT.  Then I gain weight.  And it all went to the middle.  It is time to stop eating and get rid of the gut.

I was normal size leaning toward skinny before I started HRT, and it was pretty easy to control my weight. Going on HRT seems to have reduced the number of calories that I burn, so my body wants to gain weight. Prior to HRT, I never really had to think about what I ate - it all just got burned up. Now, to maintain my weight, I gotta be actively thinking about what I eat.
21 22 and loving life! (yuk. i hate getting old!)

My weight stayed the same, but where it went changed. I think being a bit heavier as helped my transition a lot. I have hips and an hourglass shape that a lot of transwomen I know seem to lack. I have larger breasts, about a 38b, where a lot of girls don't seem to grow very much. And I've been on HRT for less than year.

Before I went to uni I weighed 13 stone *overweight* then at uni I lost alot until I was 9.5 stone *low side of normal*

When I started HRT I gained 1 stone to 10.5

I have always been on the skinny side. Since starting on the hormones I have picked up some weight. I seem to have the same problem as Janet Lynn. All around the middle!! :o
I seriously need to get to a gym to get rid of the middle and the love handles. Or is it just a sign that I am on the wrong side of 40?? ???

Did the muscle mass fade away a lot?

I lost around 22 lbs if I measure from a point mid 2009.

While on androcur i lost shed-loads of muscle tone and weight....

Post SRS i started to fill out again...

But as you age you need to watch the fat that builds and is diet resistant/gym immune...lol

That you can cheat with lipo though....  :P

I am tall (6'2") and was thick/heavy (270 lbs.) before HRT, and added about 15 pounds after starting HRT, most of it in my breasts, tummy, and after two years, finally in my backside.  I seriously need to lose about 40 to 60 pounds this year, to achieve a more healthy weight.  If that means my 42B breasts shrink, so be it. :(

I was a 157lbs and I rarely broke 160lbs, even when I tried, and my height is 5'11" (maybe an inch down from that since HRT, but that's speculative) I was always skinny, compared to my peers. Yay for losing muscle tone on HRT, though I still want to lose more. When I can deal with the embarrassment, I'll post a weird pre-HRT pic of me flexing my muscles. Since going on HRT, I my normal weight varies from 143 to 148 (Weighing myself in the morning before breakfast), which to me, is a nice change, since I know the lost weight was almost entirely muscle.

My weight has stayed the same, I'm around 6'1" and 170 pounds.  The weight has fluxuated a bit, and seemingly each time I re-lose and regain a few pounds I get a little bit of fat redistribution.  The cumulative effect is pretty awesome, my electrologist today commented that my waist was looking amazing and she was jealous.

There used to be a small amount of fat around my lower back and stomach, but all of it has since moved into my hips, thighs, butt, and breasts.  Now if only those muscles would get smaller at a faster pace :)

I was 220lbs until gluten intolerance. 6 months later I started transition at around 170lbs. A year went by and I got down to about 160lbs and then started on injections and shot back up to 170lbs. It's some in the boobs but some in the tummy too =/

I've lost about 20 lbs since I went on HRT, basically all muscle. Truthfully I could probably stand to gain a little weight. While I'm not underweight, my BMI is only 20.

The above ticker is meant as a joke! Laugh! Everyone knows the real zombie apocalypse isn't until 12/21/12....

I was fairly muscular (a solid 170lbs at my heaviest).  I've since lost 20 lbs as a combination of muscle and fat.  I still have some crazy definition, there's just slightly less of it.  I'd really like to slim my deltoids though.  Ironically I had better cleavage pre-HRT due to my pecs.

I was in the high averadge weight for my height before HRT then instantly gained 10 lbs after starting, and have stayed the same since. It's almost impossible for me to lose or gain. I've had a little bit of a gut the last few years so I'd love to lose that and I'd like to be on the lower side of averadge. I finally started a workout program to prepare for surgery, so I'm crossing my fingers hoping I stick with it.

I've lost mostly muscle mass, but I think that is mainly due to the androcur. I think the main reason for picking up weight is probably due to me eating too much after quitting smoking!
I've heard that smoking is not recommended while on HRT.
