So I started T injections about 4 1/2 weeks ago (yay!!) but basically I was just wondering if there's anyone else out there that gets bruising/soreness in their injection site (buttocks) for a few days after the shot?
My first one was done by the Endocrinologist, my 2nd shot was done by my girlfriend. Both times I've bruised.
Is there anything I can do that will reduce the chance of soreness and bruising?

I do a thigh injection, and it's rare that I don't bruise, even if it's not visible (it's a bruise in the muscle then, according to my doctor). The less the needle moves once inside you, the slower it goes in to start with, and the slower you inject, the less the chance of bruising badly. People who stab the needle into themselves and jam down on the plunger are just asking for bruises.

I have never bruised. I think the going slow may be a part of that. I think it mostly deals with how relaxed that muscle is before you inject and having the T warm before you use it.  BTW, I do butt injections, too.

After my first injection and 5th it was really bruised, I get it in the butt too, I think it was bruised those times because I wasn't relaxed. I was calm and relaxed for my other shots, they didn't hurt at all and had very little bruising.
