Hello, I'm Rei (well that's what I'm going by right now it might change it's based on my middle name), a very early transition transwoman.

I'm not yet on HRT because of letting my own fear get in the way and the stupidly slow medical system in Alberta when it comes to these things.

I very much love the creative arts and am currently working on writing both a comic book series (with my friend who is an artist) and a novel, as well as looking at getting involved more with the theatre scene.

I really hope my novel will be of interest to my fellow transwomen, the rest of the glbt community, and even straight cis-gendered folk.

The novel is a re-imagining of L Frank Baum's Wizard of Oz series told from Princess Ozma's perspective foccusing on her politics, her relationship with Dorothy and the challanges of her transition from male slave to Princess of Oz.

The comic I'm writing is about cis-gendered lesbians in sort of a mythological urban fantasy, buddy cop story.

I hope to find this forum helpful and make some new friends, maybe even get some input on my novel.

Your novel sounds exceptionally interesting, I am sure some of the other writers and graphic artists will find there way to your intro post (or you will happen upon them throughout the forum). That seems to be an increasingly large interest among many of the members here.

I hope you stick around and contribute, you sound very fun and it's always nice to add some fresh perspectives. You will find that people here are quite kind and supportive, I am sure you will love it here.

How is the medical system slow in Alberta .Is it because you are having a hard time finding a therapist. You're from Alberta Canada right ?
