Is it possible to draw up T with a 25 gauge needle?  I ran out of needles and I could only get 25 gauge.  I inject with those all the time but have never drawn up with one. 

It's about as impossible as it gets. My nurse who did my injection lesson smuggled me some 21g needles because we just could NOT draw with the 25 I was prescribed.

Well dang.  There is only one more pharmacy to call which I will tomorrow but dang.  I don't want to miss my shot. 

i found that i had lumps in my leg when using the 25 but going to the slightly bigger 22.5 it's never happened. have you even had this? i figured it was from it not going deep enough in my leg.

But to talk about injecting for a minute.  No matter what the gauge.  I've used 22ga (when first starting) and 25ga (now) and both times for a few days after my shot I have a sore spot that feels a little harder than other parts of my thigh but gauge hasn't made a big difference in sore/lumpy spots imo, I can't even tell a difference between the shot site after either needle size.

I know but i didn't want to start up a new thread for just that one question. Just figured since you were talking about 25g needles and had experience I would ask. I've never tried to draw with a 25 so I do not know the answer to your question.

I don't understand why it would be impossible.  If the T can get out of a 25 gauge needle (injecting), then it must be able to get in (drawing up).  I would imagine that it would just take more time.  And warming the vial of T between your hands beforehand to make it less viscous would probably help.  Can't hurt to try, right?

But, FWIW, I don't have any experience with using that size of needle, so this is all just speculation.

Yeah I was thinking warming it might help.  I planned to warm it anyway since I think it improves my shot to warm the testosterone some first. 

It'll be slow going but I think you can. I draw up and inject every week using a 23 gauge. It takes a while but it works. I just pull back as far as I can and let the T drip in. Then when it looks like it's about the right amount I let go and check it to make sure.

I'm a bit late, but I thought I'd add--I've been drawing up with 25g for months.  Perfectly fine.  I bought a box of 1ML syringes for increasing accuracy (versus using the 3ML) and they came with the 5/8" 25's on so I figured I'd use them.  It's probably slower, but I don't consider that a problem.

I've also never felt a difference in post shot, uh, lumpiness shooting with a 25g versus a 21g but I wasn't paying that much attention either.  I would assume it would hit the muscle the same way as the 21, as long as they're the same length (I shoot with a 1" 25g).
