Well, it probably seems really silly to many of you, but I've been chickening out of using a men's room for months now (ever since cutting the hair short, which was my official reason for not trying to use one before).  I'll get this close, and totally bail and go to a women's room.  But my appearances have gotten to the point that I think I cause more commotion in a women's room than I want to cause, so tonight at the movies I did it - put my head down and just went for it!  Another dude even came in as I was coming out of the stall (not skilled/brave enough yet to STP at a urinal!) and I just beelined to the sink and out of there.  I was so nervous I almost took my paper towel with me trying to get away!  :O  But then after the movie I went in with my friend, so 2x in one hour!  Again, a bunch of you old hands are probably thinking "ho hum, another 'I went to a men's room' story" but I feel like I just jumped a major hurdle!  :)  My buddy didn't get what a big deal it was to me, I guess 'cause I so completely pass as far as he sees things, so I thought I'd post here in hopes that some of you might get how big that was for me.  *sheepish grin*

CONGRATS!!!

I dont pass enough yet for me to do it. I have really girly features but as soon as I can i will be headin that way. I find myself wishing as i get closer and closer to the rooms. course it would help If I cut my hair shorter but my gf likes it long enough to tug, Plus im on the heavy side and short hair cuts look bad on my rounded face.

Hey, that is a big deal!  I still get get up the grapes to do that!  I get dirty looks and women wispering in the ladies room, but I think I still don't pass well enough to avoid issue in the men's room.   I just try to avoid peeing while out at all, but that's awesome that you finally made the leap, congrats!

Totally agree that that is a big deal, man. Congrats! It only gets easier the more used to it you get.

Congratulations! It was a big deal for me too the first time. I've done it twice now, and getting more confidence each time. Yay for using the right bathroom!! :)

Congratulations,

It is big news. I think all of us worry about going to the right loo. They are, or can be such sexual real estate. Big step forward, and lots of guys use the stalls for a pee.

I did it too!! ;D It was one of those restrooms that are one small room, with one toilet and a sink in it, no booths or anything, so it was less scary than going into a room with booths/more people. It felt kind of validating, in a way, but it also made me wonder why the heck anyone would put gender markers on restrooms like that.
...that fey-looking freak kid with too many books and too much bodily fat

Congrats!

I was nervous the first time I went. But after over hearing this couple talking about how they was a boy in the women's room, I decided it was time. I haven't had any problems as of yet but I still try not to use the bathroom if at all possible. But still, it's a major step. Again, congrats. :)
Every day brings me one step closer to being myself.
