Hey everyone!

I'm a young man looking for other people like me, and I am quite sure I've come in right place! :)

I'm 19 years old and I come from Finland, if that matters to someone...
I've started my FTM transitioning something around 8 months ago and with me that means that I've got the diagnosis, I changed my name 1 month ago and started the "real life test" as they call that atleast here in Finland.

I'm now waiting for the hormon policlinic - tho it might take few months more.. but I'll stay calm.
I'm also waiting for the top surgery, which will obviously also take some more months.

Would you people also like to know somethin about me, not just my transition?
Well, right now I'm studying to graduate with the grade of a barcelor or information technologies, but I'm sure that's not really my future. My heart already tells me what to do next, I just need to plan for the right time to follow my heart.
I might not want to go study right after starting T - might be a good idea just to look what happens and how fast, at first.

Ummm.. Anything more, come talk to me!
Also, I'd appreciate if some of you would like to become more friends than just talking here on the forum - I'd be happy to know other people from this community. :)

Hi there, good to see another transman on the boards. I'm new to this forum as well.

I know some great friends from Finland myself, what's it like over there? It's also quite commendable that you've gotten this far with your transition and I hope you keep it up. You already took the first step, which will ultimately set everything else into motion.

It sounds tough to be studying while undergoing your transition. I knew my first term at college was hell because I was at odds with my identity and social surroundings -- and the intense workload wasn't making things any easier for my life. It's best to follow your heart for the subjects you truly want to undertake for studies, though, and I'm glad you acknowledge that.

If you have a decent living condition and can afford to wait a little after T, I would suggest adjusting your new lifestyle slowly and pace yourself before beginning your studies. Wait until you're comfortable with yourself, your surroundings, and you feel ready. That way, the studies don't overwhelm you along with your transitional challenges like they did for me.

But yeah, hope to see you around the forums more, Jyffep. Welcome. :]
