Does anyone have an idea for lessoning the appearance of arm arm until electrolisis or HR? I think I heard that some girls bleach their arm hair.

Thanks!

Waxing also produces excellent results and is fairly inexpesive.

Mechanical epilator. Ouch, but it works great.

I tried bleaching it a few times many years ago. It turned the hair orange ;)

I used to use one of those for awhile. Now I just trim the hair using a trimmer that I think was made for a beard. I have also heard that some people use a lighter and burn off the hair, I tried that before, it seemed to work pretty good, but it was stinky.

I used to shave my arm hair and it got stubbly the very next day.  I now use a mechanical epilator and just grit my teeth until the endorphins kick in.  I finish up with a pair of tweezers, getting the hairs the epilator missed or those that were too fine for it to grab.  My arms stayed smooth for more than a week and the time interval is increasing now that I'm on HRT.

It's a Braun epilator, by the way.

If it helps, here's a different perspective.  I don't do anything to my armhair.  Once I realized there were some GGs with hairier looking arms than me, I just gave up worrying about it.  I did used to do the epilator method and shaving, but I really didn't need to.  In fact, I had some GGs notice they were hairless at the time, but when I let it grow out, nobody notices anything.  I don't know how the hair on your arm looks, but if it looks like a typical male's hair, then I would use one of the above methods.

I used to bleach mine until my daughter complained. Her arm hair was thicker and darker than mine. Now after being on HRT my arm hair is barely noticeable and my daughter has another complaint. At least she's never complained about my transition.

I'll have to take a picture of what they look like.  Keep in mind I have had zero reduction in body hair on my arms.

An epilator works pretty welll and your hair's won't grow in with sharp points.  After you are on hormones for a while it is very likely that your body hair will grow in thinner and lighter.

All my arm hair went away after 2 months.

My endo says that all my diet and exercise is a large reason HRT has been effective with me.

I've seen some people with hairy arms, so I can understand.  I'm one of those who had thin or fine hair located mostly where I needed it and none on my upper body or on my legs.  I did have a fine hair on my arms though which went dow over my hands.  I spent years shaving my arms, even after starting HRT, but after a couple of years I found that the hair on my arms could grow for a couple of months before it became noticable as a hair, so I just quit.

These days it's no hormones, I was orchiectomied in the middle of 05 and removed form estrogens after the stroke at the begininning of 06.  I've got no female or male hormones to deal with.  If it affects myactions, I haven't noticed anything, but I feel as much a woman as I can be.  All I know is that HRT does reduce or eliminate male body hair in most individuals on feminine Hrt.

Ah, see that's the thing.  You have to have "male" body hair in the first place. ;)

My body hair is more androgynous.  Think it will still help?

Ya put your right foot in.  You put your right foot out.  You put your right foot in and you shake it all about.  You do the Andro-gyney and you turn yourself around.  That's what it's all about.

There is a lot to it Laurie ..... in the cases of many, body hair simply thins out and sometimes goes completely zilch during HRT and the dosages used.  Hair has a definition you might want to look up.  Typically female body hair is of a soft design, very unlike the coarse hair of males, but the finer it is, the more typically it will be removed over time.

Remember each person is different an has different dosages available to them, most will, some will not.  You have to try it for a year or so to see how it affects you in that manner.

Heh, that's more than I had in the first place but I still swiped it off.

Initially I didn't, as it was in female range, then i noticed that the base of the hairs were all vellus, so swipe it off and it's now got a fine mist of 3mm long vellus type hair, compared to a little less than how much is in that pic
